The Classes of the Diablo series are personifications of the player as seen in the game world. Each class is unique in the sense that they have unique graphics, skills and voices. Note: The Barbarian and the Bard are test classes.
Diablo III features six different Character Classes, and one additional class from the Reaper of Souls expansion.

In Diablo 2, there are 7 different character classes, each with its own skill-set, lore and class-specific items.Also, each class has different skill trees in its arsenal. The skills that are in the same tree often synergize with each other, encouraging the player to focus mostly on one specific skill tab.
The melee focused classes in Diablo 3 are Barbarian, Crusader and Monk. Each of these has a different flavor to them. Barbarians are my soul mates and also focusing on brutal mass damage with huge splash attacks like Seismic Slam, Hammer of the Ancients, and Whirlwind.
